Stevensville, MD (Aug 11, 2016) – Federal Resources Supply Company (FRSC) was recently named a silver-level superior supplier by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Superior Supplier Incentive Program (SSIP). This honor recognizes FRSC as one of the department’s top performing supply contractors for fiscal year 2015.

“Federal Resources is very proud to provide America’s warfighters and responders with a wide range of critical mission equipment through DLA programs,” said Robert McWilliams, CEO, FRSC. “This recognition underscores the commitment of our entire team to support—with integrity and professionalism—those who protect us all.”
The SSIP is an extension of the Department’s Better Buying Power initiative and is designed to incentivize contractor performance by identifying suppliers with the highest rankings in areas such as cost, schedule, performance, quality and business relations.

DLA considered its top 150 parts and commodity suppliers with the highest spends within a particular supply chain that have done business with the agency over the past two years. Of those considered, 42 companies were selected as DLA’s superior suppliers based on the last three years of Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System ratings, with the most emphasis placed on recent performance. FRSC is one of nine small businesses selected as superior suppliers.
