We want to recognize our Chief Supply Chain Officer, Pamela Daskalakis. Pam has been with NOBLE since July 2022, and in that time, she has made a tremendous impact on our supply chain management function. However, her accomplishments don't stop there. Pam will take on a different type of challenge in a few short weeks: running the 127th Boston Marathon on April 17th.
For those unfamiliar, the Boston Marathon is the oldest continuously run marathon in the world. The course is 26.2 miles long, starting in Hopkinton, MA, and ending in downtown Boston on Boylston Street. It's a grueling race, but it's also a race that has captured the hearts and minds of runners around the world. Pam is one of those runners.
Running the Boston Marathon has been a bucket list goal for Pam since she was a teenager. Now, after running over 400 miles over the course of her training plan, she's just a few days away from toeing the start line. Pam has run in all kinds of weather, from snow to sunshine, and she's even taken on the dreaded "dreadmill" for a few of her long runs. Her dedication to training is a testament to her work ethic and commitment to achieving her goals.
But for Pam, running the Boston Marathon is about more than just achieving a personal goal. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing, and Pam is running to raise money for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. She's running with her friend Kim Donohue, whose husband, retired Sergeant Richard "Dic" Donohue, was critically injured in pursuit of the bombing suspects in 2013 and spent time rehabilitating at Spaulding. Because of this, Pam was inspired to honor his service and the incredible support of his rehab team.
At NOBLE, one of our core values is Inspiration. We strive to inspire each other and our customers every day. Pam is a shining example of this value. She inspires us with her dedication to her job and passion for running. Pam inspires us with her commitment to giving back to her community. And she inspires us with her unwavering belief that anything is possible if you work hard enough.
So, as we approach Marathon Monday, we want to wish Pam the best of luck. We know she'll do us proud, just as she does every day at NOBLE. We're honored to have her on our team and can't wait to see what she'll accomplish next.
Thank you, Pam, for being an inspiration to the NOBLE team!
