# Not In The Manual: An EOD Series - Episode 6: Gemini - Safe Practices

Alan and Dave cover some safe sampling practices for an unknown solid or powder while using the Thermo Scientific Gemini Handheld Analyzer, a combination of both FTIR and Raman spectrometer. While a little unsure if we can truly say if size matters, it does in fact matter when using the Gemini.
Not in the Manual: An EOD Series is a video series dedicated to showing the use, and benefits of the latest technology for EOD Bomb Techs. This series will also highlight some "What not to do" moments along the way.
