# OPIOID OVERDOSE RESPONSE KITS

Overdoses are unfortunately common among people who use opioids and synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Similarly, those who take opioid medications that are not prescribed to them or not directly obtained from a pharmacy are also at risk, particularly with the increasing availability of counterfeit pills across the U.S. However, fortunately, the number of opioid overdose deaths is decreasing nationwide, thanks to the wider use and availability of Narcan (naloxone) and the necessary equipment to safely and effectively reverse the symptoms of an opioid overdose.

NOBLE’s Opioid Response kits, designed by subject matter expert Matthew Gutwill, a NOBLE Training Manager and law enforcement veteran of 32 years, are available online at NOBLE's GSA Procurement Platform for Government Procurement Card (GPC) holders. Each kit is complete and packaged compactly in a vacuum-sealed disposable bag. The kit packaging easily reseals for the safe disposal of all products used at the scene of the overdose.
